Fat Dough Bakery started as a weekend experiment in a home kitchen — a sourdough starter named after a childhood nickname and a stubborn belief that Mesquite deserved better bread.

What began as farmers market booths quickly grew into a daily ritual for our neighbors. We opened our doors on Mesquite Boulevard with one oven, a hand-written menu, and a commitment to doing things the slow way.

Today, every loaf is hand-shaped, every pastry is laminated by hand, and every cup of coffee is pulled to order. We source our flour from regional mills, our butter from local dairies, and our coffee from roasters who treat every batch like a craft.
